F# is a modern, functional first multi-paradigm programming language developed by Microsoft as part of the .NET platform. It was designed by a team led by Don Syme and now belongs to the F# Software Foundation. F# is known for its functional first language features, which focus on immutability and separating data from behaviour. As it runs on the .NET runtime, it has access to one of the largest programming language ecosystems out there.
