For environments deeply rooted in a single cloud provider, we utilize native services like Azure Key Vault or GCP Secret Manager. These services offer minimal operational overhead and tight integration with the cloud's IAM system (e.g. Azure Managed Identities). We configure our applications and external secrets operators to fetch configuration strings and certificates directly from these secure vaults at runtime.
